This wayfinding system is built to help visitors at Granville Island. The challenge is to make something suitable for all people regardless of their age, language, or comfort level with technology, so the map is designed to be simple and easy to understand to assist the tourists to make their way through the island.
The pylon is designed to be double-sided with an interactive screen on each side, also providing the paper map at the side of the pylon. The screen will show your current location, and the list of the shops, restaurants, and other facilities on Granville Island.
